I obtained my Bachelor's of Social Work from Thompson Rivers University in 2010, and am a Registered Social Worker with the BC College of Social Workers. I have worked in a vast array of roles including women's transition house, remote northern communities, and both adult and youth residential settings. I have a special passion for supporting women, particularly in the challenging pre- and post-partum stages, but also cherish the experience of working with individuals across all walks of life.
I practice from a feminist and queer-allied perspective. I strongly value every individual's right to self-determination, and I am accepting and supportive of all relationship and family structures. Some areas in which I can provide support and expertise are including but not limited to: post-partum challenges, grief and loss, relationship communication, and anxiety and depression.
On a personal level, I live in the Nanaimo area with my partner, our two young children, and two dogs. In my alone/down time (scarce as it may be at times!) I like spending time horseback riding, and sewing kids' clothing.
